Madisson is a young mum who had been seeking psychological support and dietetics services through headspace Nowra, when she expressed a desire to re-enter the workforce for the benefit of her and her daughter.
Madisson’s Psychologist referred her to headspace’s Vocational Specialist, Courtney, as part of the Individual Placement Support Program.
Madisson told Coutney she had been applying for jobs and was ‘not getting anywhere.’ She found job searching challenging, was becomming disheartened by the process and was quickly losing confidence in her ability to find work.
Madisson successfully started working as a School Crossing Supervisor and is reportedly enjoying every minute of it.
Coutney is continuing to work with Madisson to ensure she feels supported and says seeing Madisson’s satisfaction ives her a huge sense of gratification.
