What is MH-CLSR?
The Community Living Support for Refugees (MH-CLSR) program delivered by Grand Pacific Health is designed to support people from refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds in improving their mental health and wellbeing. This program focuses on promoting independence, building new skills, and connecting individuals to services and community supports.

Grand Pacific Health, a for-purpose primary health care organisation, is committed to providing equitable, accessible, and culturally appropriate health care services. Our focus spans physical health, mental health, youth health, Aboriginal health, and chronic disease management.


Eligibility
To access the MH-CLSR program, you must:

  • Be a refugee or asylum seeker
  • Have arrived in Australia within the last 10 years (some exceptions may apply)
  • Be any age, from 0 to 100+ years
  • Be experiencing trauma, distress, or a mental health challenge, and need support
  • Have stable accommodation
  • Be willing to actively participate in the program
  • Reside in the Illawarra Shoalhaven region

How MH-CLSR Works
MH-CLSR focuses on supporting your wellbeing by collaborating with health and other services to help you connect with family and the broader community. Together, we set goals for the future, empowering you to live more independently while fostering personal growth and resilience.


Cost
This is a free service offered by Grand Pacific Health.
