Grand Pacific Health is proud to launch a new participation platform, MOSAIC (Making Our Services Accessible through Inclusion and Collaboration) as part of our Mental Health Month celebrations.

Aligning with this year’s theme of ‘A Little Connection Goes a Long Way’, MOSAIC is an online space for people with lived, living and carer experiences to connect with us and share their experiences and insights.

People with lived and living experience may have faced mental health challenges, suicide, distress or alcohol and other drug use. Carers can be family, friends or loved ones who support someone with lived or living experience. It is a place to share one’s views, ideas and lived experience. What’s shared helps shape mental health, suicide, drug and alcohol, and wellbeing supports.

GPH’s Tiffany Thompson, Principal – Lived Experience & Peer Practice Governance said the platform offers an easy way for people with lived experience to impact the services that affect them.

“The purpose of MOSAIC is to create a clear pathway for people in the community to help shape the services they use. Local knowledge and lived expertise can then inform decisions about what support is needed, how it is delivered and how it can be improved.”

“Meaningful participation means people can see what happened because of their contribution. MOSAIC helps us close that loop by keeping communities informed about how their ideas, experiences and expertise have influenced our services and programs.”

CEO of GPH, Adam Phillips, says this new platform is a part of a series of innovations the organisation is making to bring consumer voices into the forefront of our strategic decisions.

“At GPH, we know that embedding lived experience into everything we do is the best way to ensure we’re addressing local health needs to make meaningful change. This platform joins our existing initiatives to make sure all our services are co-designed with the communities we serve.”
