Queanbeyan Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Hub
The Queanbeyan AOD Hub is delivered as a partnership by Grand Pacific Health, Directions Health Services, Katungul Aboriginal Corporation. We offer a welcoming and safe space for individuals experiencing, or at risk of, harm from alcohol and other drugs. Our services are free of charge.
Who Can Access Support?
Our hub is staffed by drug and alcohol mental health professionals, nurses, support workers, and Aboriginal Health Workers. People using this service can choose to work with one or more of the team, based on their needs and goals. Our harm minimisation approach meets you where you are and supports you in exploring other community resources as you work towards the life you want to live.
What You Can Expect
Support That Meets You Where You’re At
Whether you’re looking to reduce your substance use, stop completely, or prevent relapse, our team is here to support you every step of the way.
Counselling & Case Management
We provide personalised counselling and case management support for people experiencing mental health and substance use challenges. Our team can help you set goals, access practical support, and connect with community services, withdrawal programs, residential treatment, and other specialist supports when needed.
Groups
Join our welcoming in-person SMART Recovery group every Wednesday from 10:30am – 12:00pm.
Connect with others, explore practical strategies, and receive support from peers in a safe and non-judgemental space.
Culturally Safe, Trauma-Informed Support
Our care is respectful, culturally safe, and grounded in understanding your wellbeing, identity, and recovery journey. You can also choose to speak with our Aboriginal Health Worker for culturally informed support and connection to community and culture.
Support for Families & Carers
Recovery is stronger with support. We also provide resources and guidance to help families and carers support their loved ones while also caring for their own wellbeing.
You don’t have to do this alone – support is here when you’re ready.
