01Registration on My Aged Care (MAC)

Clients begin their journey by registering on My Aged Care to access aged care services.

02Eligibility Assessment for Home Care Services

Post registration, eligibility for Home Care Services is determined.

Clients may qualify for either the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) or the Home Care Program (HCP) services.

03Assessment Booking

If eligible, an assessor will contract the client to schedule an assessment for a suitable program, either CHSP or HCP.

04Assessment by Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) for HCP

For HCP, clients undergo assessment by the ACAT team.

05Assessment Wait Time

There’s an approximate wait time of 6-10 weeks post initial registration on MAC for the assessment.

06Home Care Package Approval
