Dietetics
Seeing a dietitian provides the opportunity to talk with a specialist about eating patterns to optimise your health and wellbeing. Our Accredited Practising Dietitians (APD) can provide individualised dietary assessments and practical advice for infants, children and adults, as well as pregnancy.
Make an appointment with our dietitians for tips on simply optimising your general health or for specific nutrition concerns or conditions including, but not limited to:
- Endocrine diseases and conditions e.g. diabetes, pre-diabetes, osteoporosis or PCOS
- Cardiovascular diseases and conditions e.g. high cholesterol, high blood pressure
- Kidney disease
- Gastrointestinal diseases and conditions e.g. irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), reflux, coeliac disease, constipation
- Overweight and obesity
- Malnutrition
- Nutrient deficiencies
- Food allergies and intolerances
- Fussy eating and feeding difficulties in children
- Dietary advice for children with special needs.
Unsure about what to expect when you see a dietitian? Are you worried the dietitian will tell you about all the things you shouldn’t be eating and tell you to eat foods you dislike? This is not the case! Our dietitians work with you to develop a plan that suits you.
To book an appointment with our dietitian please call (02) 4448 2255.
Please note, all of our dietitians hold the Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) credential. APDs are university qualified professionals who meet rigorous standards for ongoing professional learning every year to ensure the advice provided to clients is in line with the current scientific evidence.
