We are focused on supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders to
achieve better health outcomes through the following programs -
Butt out boondah (BOB) is a quit smoking support service in Queanbeyan, Goulburn, Yass and Cooma. This is a free service. Male or female TIS officers are available.
We offer care coordination services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people suffering one or more medical conditions lasting more than 6 months.
This includes diabetes, mental health conditions, cancer, cardiovascular disease, chronic respiratory disease and chronic kidney disease.
A number of health promotion activities are undertaken by Grand Pacific Health to help individuals achieve healthier lifestyles and reduce the risk of developing lifestyle-related diseases. These include:
The Closing the Gap program provides assistance to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who need support to access primary health care services such as doctors and allied health professionals.
Grand Pacific Health employs health professionals who work with individuals and local communities to provide diabetes clinics, health checks, Koori Booris and Work Development Orders.
We offer a range of services for mild to enduring mental health issues in a variety of locations throughout south-east NSW.
This painting for Grand Pacific Health by Nowra based Aboriginal Artist, Rod Seymour, is a visual representation of our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). The painting depicts the three key focus areas of our RAP incorporating; relationships, respect and opportunities in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people - all within the context of the various health services that GPH provides.
