Kai Gallagher
Peer Worker
Kai is the first friendly face people meet when joining the Chronic Pain Program, acting as our “welcoming committee.” As an experienced Peer Worker with a strong commitment to wellbeing for all, he draws on his own lived and living experience of navigating life’s hardships to create a supportive and understanding entry point for participants.
Kai offers a compassionate presence, meeting people where they are and providing reassurance as they begin their journey with the program. He values listening deeply and being alongside participants as they navigate what is arising for them, whether that involves sharing stories, exploring strategies, or simply being heard.
Beyond this, Kai plays an important role in helping individuals connect with the supports and resources that best suit their needs and preferences. His focus is on fostering safety, belonging, and empowerment from the very first steps of the program.
