Campbelltown Medicare Mental Health Centre: Community Art Competition

To celebrate the opening of the Campbelltown Medicare Mental Health Centre in October, Grand Pacific Health is hosting a Community Art Competition, promoting mental health awareness through art. Open to artists living in the Campbelltown, Wollondilly, Wingecarribee and Camden LGAs, the competition focuses on the theme The Light that Connects Us. Artists are encouraged to explore how the creative process impacts both the creator and the viewer, while also reflecting their unique cultural background.

The winning artworks will be purchased for display in the Centre, with 1st place purchased for $3,000 and 2nd place purchased for $2,000.

Campbelltown Medicare Mental Health Centre will provide a safe, inclusive and welcoming entry point for people aged 16 and over experiencing distress or mental health challenges. Services will be free, confidential, and easy to access, with no referral or Medicare card required. The centre is currently in development and will open in mid-October 2025. Until then, it is not yet available for community access.

Terms and Conditions/ Compliance

This competition is operated by Grand Pacific Health Limited (ACN 062 587 071) (‘GPH’)

  1. Eligibility & Entry
  • Entry is open to individuals 16 years and older.
  • Entrants must reside in Campbelltown, Wollondilly, Wingecarribee or Camden LGAs.
  • Entrants must submit their entry online through completing the online form on the website gph.org.au. The submission must include a photograph of the work, title and size of work, short bio (50 words) and an Artist Statement.
  • Entry deadline is 5pm, 5 November 2025.
  • The entrant must have a current ABN (if the entrant does not have a current ABN, they must complete Australian Tax Office – Statement by a Supplier form provided below)  Statement by a Supplier
  • Each entrant may only submit up to 2 entries.
  • GPH reserves the right to request entrants to provide proof of identity, including proof of residency at the nominated entrant address.
  • The entrants acknowledge and agree that they are responsible for all costs and expenses incurred by them in connection with their artwork and their entry into the competition.
  • By entering into this competition, entrants are giving GPH permission to display the artwork and share any personal information provided by the entrants in their entry.
  • By entering into this competition, the entrant warrants that they are the original artist of the artwork, and that the creation and submission of the artwork is not in breach of any third-party intellectual property rights or moral rights. The ethe entrant indemnifies and releases GPH for any loss or liability arising out of or as a result of a breach of this warranty.
  1. Governance & Selection
  • The CMMHC Community Advisory Committee (‘Committee’) is responsible for first and second winner selection.
  • The Committee have declared any conflicts of interest.
  • The decision of the Committee is final and the Committee will not enter into any correspondence regarding the competition or any other decision that the Committee make in relation to this.
  • The first place winner of the competition will receive $3,000, with the second place winner receiving $2,000.
  • Winners will be announced publicly on 14 November 2025, with the winners also notified by Email.
  1. Artwork Requirements
  • Accepted mediums: Any 2D Art eg. painting, drawing, photography, digital (must be wall-hangable).
  • Maximum size of Artwork is 3m diameter.
  1. Winners Artwork
  • It is a condition of entering into the competition that the entrants acknowledge and agree that if they are determined to be first place winner or second place winner (‘Winners’), that GPH will acquire the original artwork for display in the Campbelltown Medicare Mental Health Centre (‘CMMHC’) from the Winners, with the Winners to provide GPH with the original artwork at that time.
  • The winners funds covers the purchase of the art, with no further compensation payable by GPH to the Winners for the acquisition of the artwork.
  1. Other entrant’s Artwork
  • GPH reserves the right, but is not obliged to, select entrants and invite them to display their entry artwork in the CMMHC.
  • These selected artworks will be displayed in the CMMHC until October 2026 and artists information/business cards of will be available for anyone interested in purchasing work, who will contact the entrants, as the artists, directly.
  • The entrants, as the artists of the artwork, will retain ownership of any such artwork, with the artwork selected by GPH for display purposes only, to be returned to the entrant at the end of October 2026.
  1. Other:
  • Submitting an entry through the website is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  • Artwork will be on display during the Official Launch of the center, which will be attended by media, politicians and the public in late October 2025. Select artists will be invited to the launch and participate in a video promoting their art and the story behind it.
  • By entering this competition, entrants accept and acknowledge full responsibility for their decision to participate in this competition, including the display of their artwork should they be chosen as a Winner or otherwise selected by GPH for the display of their artwork.
  • The entrants releases GPH and their employees and agents from all liabilities, loss and damage of any kind arising at any time out of or in connection with their participation in the competition, including but not limited to:
    • The acquisition of the Winners artwork by GPH, including any claims for any further compensation beyond the prize money; and
    • The display of any other entrant’s artwork , including but not limited to any damage caused to the artworks, or if the artworks are lost or stolen, during the time they are displayed in the CMMHC.
