Women from across the Riverina came together in Wagga Wagga this week for the Wagga Women’s Wellness Forum, a Grand Pacific Health event focused on empowering women with the knowledge, confidence and support to manage their health through the stages of life, particularly perimenopause and menopause.
Held at the Wagga Wagga Botanic Gardens as part of NSW Women’s Week 2026, the forum created a welcoming space for women from rural, regional and remote communities to connect, share experiences and learn practical strategies to support their mental and physical wellbeing.
The forum featured two events across the day and evening, offering women different opportunities to engage with local clinicians, allied health professionals and each other.
The day program focused on practical wellbeing and self-care, including gentle movement sessions, discussions on mental wellness, and education on pelvic floor health and women’s physical wellbeing.
The evening event, centred on the theme of “Seasons of Change”, focused more deeply on women’s health across midlife. Participants heard from local exercise physiologists about the importance of strength and movement as women age, alongside an educational session from a local GP specialising in women’s healthcare. Facilitated table conversations and a panel discussion encouraged open discussion about the realities of perimenopause and menopause, helping women better understand symptoms, available supports and when to seek help.
The forum aimed to empower women with practical knowledge and increase awareness of local services so they feel confident seeking support and managing their health.
The event was delivered by Grand Pacific Health, in partnership with Synergy Healthworks and Nova Health Co, bringing together local expertise to support women’s wellbeing in the Riverina community.
The forum was made possible through funding from the 2026 NSW Women’s Week Grants, an initiative of the NSW Government supporting events that celebrate women and strengthen community connection across the state.
For women living in rural and regional communities, opportunities like this are important in reducing isolation, building confidence in navigating health changes and encouraging early help-seeking.
By combining lived experience with professional expertise, the Wagga Women’s Wellness Forum created a safe and inclusive space for learning, discussion and connection, helping women feel informed, supported and empowered through every stage of life.
