Who is eligible?
Applicants must own or reside on a property within the Central-West Orana REZ, the Hunter Central Coast REZ (including the Hunter Transmission Project) or the New England REZ transmission projects that is:
- Within 500m of the area of activity as defined in the Environmental Impact Statement; or
- Next to an eligible transmission project, being within 500m on either side of the centre line of a transmission line corridor or 500m on either side of an eligible transmission project easement either within or supporting a gazetted renewable energy zone; or
- Highly visually impacted (as defined in the relevant Environmental Impact Statement or other relevant planning documentation) by an eligible transmission project but not otherwise directly impacted.
What help can you get?
Eligible residents can assess services with a value of up to $5,000 (or 10 sessions per applicant), with a maximum amount of $10,000 per property available.
If funding is not available, we will assist individuals to identify appropriate alternative supports and referral options.
You don’t have to be in crisis to reach out
Some people use this service to talk through their experiences living in a REZ area or to get a fresh perspective from someone outside their situation. Some people call in to get advice about how they can support a family member.
The program helps you with accessing evidence-based mental health and wellbeing supports, including counselling, psychology, and other helpful mental health and wellbeing services.
Where eligibility is confirmed, program funding may support access to local services. If funding is not available, we will assist individuals to identify appropriate alternative supports and referral options.
