Integrated Recovery Services (IRS)
IRS is a medium term clinical service for adults who are experiencing serious or complex mental health issues. 

Comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and collaborative person centered recovery planning are provided by Mental Health Clinicians and Peer Workers. Integrated Recovery Services works towards clinical stabilisation and increasing self-management skills. 

The goal of the service is to

  • Improve care navigation and care coordination
  • Increase community supports
  • Improve adherence to helpful treatments 
  • Reduce hospital admissions.

This service is offered in Bega, Cooma, Goulburn, Moruya, Queanbeyan and Wollongong and various outreach locations.

Our service

IRS uses individual and group therapies to people with complex mental health issues under the Stepped Care Model of Services.

We employ the least intrusive interventions possible to achieve maximum recovery and wellbeing.

Interventions may be brief or long, provide low or high intensity services but will always be based on assessment and care planning, usually in conjunction with a GP or other medical officer.

We provide appropriate evidence based therapies and interventions including:

  • Assessment, case formulation, care and exit planning 
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy 
  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy 
  • Health and lifestyle counselling
  • Interpersonal Psychotherapy 
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Medication Monitoring 
  • Narrative Therapy
  • Skills development and capacity building
