Grand Pacific Health (GPH) are thrilled to welcome Endocrinologist Dr Dan Harmelin, who will see patients attending the Moruya Hubs Diabetes Clinic.

The Diabetes Clinic supports around 60-70 Aboriginal patients for 2 days every 2 months with a multi-disciplinary team including a Podiatrist, Aboriginal Health Worker, Dietitian, Nurse, Diabetes Educator and Endocrinologist.

GPH’s Aboriginal Health and Integrated Care Manager Simon Sadler says an Endocrinologist is central to the team:

“We are thrilled to have Dr Dan onboard, he is passionate about measuring and delivering long term results, educating patients in innovative ways and working within a team.”

“He has even talked about bringing in a horticulturalist to help patients learn how to grow their own food and realise the benefits of this in order to break generational cycles,” said Simon.

The well-respected diabetes clinic is free for patients to attend and is funded by Grand Pacific Health with the support of the Rural Doctors Network.

It is based at GPH’s Murray Street Office.
