Grand Pacific Health has been awarded three years National Quality Improvement Council (QIC) Accreditation.

A team from Quality Innovation Performance (QIP), conducted a thorough assessment of GPH according to the requirements set out by the Quality Improvement Council Standards and Accreditation Program.

GPH CEO Ron de Jongh, says the organisation is thrilled to not only have met each of the standards but to have received such glowing comments from the surveyors:

“The report notes that GPH has been ‘proactive in embedding quality services and programs across all its hubs’,” said Mr de Jongh.

“It also stated that ‘Clients praised the quality of services provided and positive outcomes for them and the professionalism, genuineness and commitment of staff. Systems of clinical governance are strong’.”

“3 board members, 2 senior managers, 31 staff members, 13 managers, 9 clients and 18 other stakeholders were interviewed as part of the rigorous assessment.”

“It is a very pleasing result and I am extremely proud of all our staff for bringing about this achievement,” added Mr de Jongh.

The accreditation program and modules of standards are based on the principle that quality is a result of a way of working rather than a single event.

As such, the assessment examines a broad range of policies, processes and practices and seeks evidence of the application of these in the way day to day business is done.
