Grand Pacific Health (GPH) is supporting several local walking groups in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven including the ‘Windang Walkers.’
The Windang Walkers walk on Wednesdays at 3.30pm and meet at the Pur Pur Point carpark (cnr Reddall Parade & Entrance St) Lake Illawarra.
GPH Health Promotion Officer, Claire Fisher, says the group is looking for new members to take part:
“If you live in or around Windang why not get your walking shoes on and go along this Wednesday?”
“With the warmer days and extra daylight here, now is the perfect time to get out, enjoy the weather, get some exercise and meet some new people,” said Claire.
Carol Davis is the local contact person for this group and can be reached at: davistarrawanna@bigpond.com
“Beginners are also welcome at all groups and everyone is encouraged to walk at their own pace,” added Claire.
