GPH Announced as Lead Agency for headspace Bega

Grand Pacific Health (GPH) has been awarded the role of lead agency of a new headspace centre to be opened in the Bega Valley.

 

GPH Executive Manager of Operations Christine van den Berg, who is based in Bega, says COORDINARE – South Eastern NSW PHN and Senator John Williams, Duty Senator for Eden-Monaro made the announcement late last week:

 “GPH was selected following an open tender process conducted by COORDINARE.”

“We have demonstrated our commitment to youth mental health through the operation of our Wollongong, Nowra and Goulburn headspace centres and our proven track record in the Bega community was also noted,” said Mrs van den Berg.

“I am delighted that the young people of Bega and surrounding areas will soon have the opportunity to access this important service, it is certainly a win for the local community!”  Added Mrs van den Berg.

 

headspace centres provide early intervention, mental health and general health services to young people aged 12 to 25.

 

The service is due to commence in mid-2018.

 

GPH is committed to maintaining a strong presence in the Bega community with links to other services in the area to ensure ongoing success and positive outcomes for the whole community.
